In the summer of 2014, the government announced that there would be a ban on steel-strung guitars in prison. There was no evidence that this was necessary; what's more, as the majority of acoustic guitars are steel-strung, taking them away this move would impoverish many prisoners' lives. I contributed this poster to the Jail Guitar Doors campaign. Happily, late in 2014, the government reversed its stance.
